About Jeff

Hi there – I’m Jeff Thisted
I like cars, game-shows and my dog Cisco – if it makes noise or has exhaust, I like it.
I’m originally from Colorado and I’m a “Car-Guy.”
But I’ve always wanted to be “America’s favorite television game show host” so I moved to Southern California.
I’ve worked on The Price is Right, the longest running game-show in television history, with both Bob Barker and Drew Carey.

I was thrilled to tell Bob about hosting a game show of my own on GSN.
He even gave me his blessing and good wishes for a long and successful hosting career.

That’s one of his original microphones from 1972.
I’m known as the only male host of GSN’s Playmania Block of programming where I hosted both Quiznation and 100 Winners.

I was also on Rods ‘N Wheels airing on both Discovery and Velocity channels where I play with cars on-camera at Da Rod Shop.

I’ve been lucky enough to showcase my passion for cars on AutoTrader.com and Wheels-TV where they gave me the keys to everything from an Audi R8 Spyder to a Volkswagen Golf-R.
As a Product Specialist I’ve been a regular up on stage presenting at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, The Chicago Auto Show, the New York International Auto Show, the Los Angeles Auto Show and pretty much every other auto show across the Continental United States.
As a live-events host, I’m the guy up on the stage with the mic during events like:
The Hot Rod Power Tour, the biggest road trip in the world
The Car Craft Summer Nationals, America’s premier gathering of performance vehicles
The F-Body Nationals, a celebration of Camaro’s and Firebirds
The C-10 Nationals, America’s Truck Event
And the Goodguys Rod & Custom Autocross & awards ceremony.
I’ve graduated from The Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving Grand Prix Class and qualified for my SCCA License.
I’m a car-guy…
The History Channel calls me a “car expert” and I was honored to be a part of “The History of Hot Rods & Muscle Cars” and you’ve seen me on “Bitchin’ Rides.”
My 1969 Corvette was the “Star Car” for all 11 seasons on the TV series “JAG,” and my 1955 Chevy 210 is in every episode of “Rods ‘N Wheels.”

The 55 and I have been to 18 states and 27 National Parks.
From the highest paved road in North America – the Mount Evans Scenic Byway 14,130 feet above sea level – to the bottom of Badwater -282 below sea level.

We’ve driven on the Bonneville Salt Flats, The Corkscrew at Laguna Seca and the Texas Motor Speedway.
When I’m not working I’m either slalom water-skiing, skateboarding at the Venice Beach Skatepark, mountain biking or out on the open road in The 55 taking in all of America’s Scenic Byways I can.

And if you’ve gotta question or comment or even a suggestion you’d like me to write about, drop me a line.
I’d love to hear from you.
Hope to see you out on the road.
